- Apr 09, 2018 -

Drawstring pockets, also known as shrink pockets, tight pockets, lock pockets, drawstring pockets, are bags made by using various kinds of ropes to fasten the bag's mouth and prevent the contents from leaking out. They are widely used in gifts and product packaging. .

The material of the bag body of the harness pocket mainly uses soft materials such as non-woven cloth, cotton cloth, and nylon cloth, and also uses linen material. Non-woven fabric pockets are relatively inexpensive, simple to produce, and effective for advertising; however, they cannot be used for a long time due to the inherent characteristics of the nonwoven fabrics. In non-woven fabrics, the use time is three or five years. The price of non-woven fabric pockets is mainly determined according to their specifications, fabric weight, printing requirements, rope requirements, and the like. Non-woven fabric pouches are mainly used for product packaging (requiring fabric thickness), inner packaging (such as shoe inner packaging, thin cloth or gift packaging (such as candy), etc.

Drawstring pockets of cotton fabrics are widely used in internal and external packaging of high-grade products because they are soft and high-grade, and because they are easy to clean and use for a long time, they can be used repeatedly and have better advertising results. Its price is higher than the non-woven fabric pouch, and the cost is also determined according to its fabric thickness, printing requirements, specifications, and the like.

Linen cloth is more expensive than cotton cloth, so it is more upscale and is mainly used for the packaging of high-end products. Due to the longer storage time of the linen, it can be reused more frequently; however, because the linen is generally hard, it is not as easy to clean as a cotton cloth. The price is also based on specifications, fabric thickness, printing, etc. The following figure shows a linen cloth pocket for high-grade drinking water packaging.

The ropes in the pouches have nylon ropes, cotton ropes, hemp ropes, etc. The price is naturally the cheapest.
